プンプン Gobble + studies

^I started reading the manga Oyasumi Punpun which was recommended by a friend. The main character's appearance threw me off at first but I slowly started to forget about it once I got into the story. The story centers around a group of elementary school kids. There's no furigana(kanji with hiragana next to it) so it becomes hard to read at times. Out of about 1900 kanji, I only can read about 600. So when I get to an unknown character, I check the dictionary.

These days I've been at home working so I havent seen the outside world much. Kinda a waste since Im in Japan. I walk outside yesterday to piercing sunlight! I really need to balance my work and out time.

Studies from here on down. Kinda old stuff.

20×30 Childhood Poster Project + others

^It was an honor to be part of this project. Im on the bottom left. You can check out the larger piece in the last blog post.
Heres an excerpt from the collaborator:
Hello and welcome to the Kaboom Collaboration: 20×30 Childhood Poster Project, the first multi-artist project that involves 25 artists from around the world. Each contributing artist has included a 4 inch x 6 inch (portrait format) work of art to the project that represents their version of childhood. Often when we grow up, we forget many of our earliest memories of where we came from, of our dreams and desires. Some of us had happy childhoods, while others grew up in the dark. These artists have expressed their impressions of what their childhood was like through their contributions to the project. While we all share the experience of growing up, it is also an experience that is uniquely ours. There are many special moments in life, but there is only one childhood for every child.
