アメリカに帰る

アメリカに帰るのが残念だけど、家族と友達に会える。一時的なことだっと思う。
We will be heading back to America. Hopefully this will be temporary.

When the 9.0 quake struck, I spent 2 hours outside at the local park where many others in the neighborhood were. It seemed so unsafe to go back to the apt. The amount of aftershocks was unbelievable. It had to have been every 5 to 15 min for the first 3 days it happened and that is no exaggeration. Even now we are still getting quakes more than a week later but they are originating from different areas. Right now our main concern is the radiation. Even though we will return to California, Im still thinking about the fact that we will be staying even closer to another power plant. In the last year, the earthquakes have moved along the Pacific fault line first with Chile, New Zealand and then Japan. Im no expert but I felt like Alaska, Cali, or Mexico might be hit with one in the future. We will see how this all goes. My heart goes out to those effected by mother nature.

最初にシャツのデザインを描いて、かよちゃんは僕にパターンを調節方法を教えてくれて、その後に布を切った。ロックミシンとミシンでまっすぐ縫うのが難しかった。写真を見れば、多分分かんないけど、近くで見ると、縫い目は曲がっている。かよちゃんありがとう！もっと作りましょう！

First I did a design sketch, then my Kayo helped me with adjusting the pattern for cutting the fabric.Using the sewing machine and serger was challenging. Mainly with keeping the stitch straight. It may be hard to see in the pics but the stitching is a bit jagged! lol. Thanks for helping me make this Kayo! I hope to make more in the future.

Commissh jylz 'n' things

最近すごく忙しいんだけど、この前に友達と一緒にゲームセンターに行って、スーパースト4AEをやった。普段はゲームセンターに行くと、格闘ゲームしかやらないんだけど、今回は他のゲームもやった。ダリアスバーストは超面白かった。四人同時にできるし、画面は長くて、見やすい。メタルギアーアーケードもやったけど、3Dを見てて、ちょっと頭痛がした。これからは出かける時、カメラを絶対持っていく。 写真がないとよんでても、よく分からないよね。

Been quite busy with work these days but I hit up an arcade with my buddy a bit ago and dove into so some more SSF4 AE! If I go to the arcade I usually just play fighting games but we tried some others this time around. Darius Burst was hella fun! Its like the typical 2d shooter but its 4 players on two wide-screens! I also tried Metal Gear Arcade but the 3D gave me a headache. Its kinda whack talking about this without pics haha. I need to start carrying my small camera at all times.

Maybe you've seen some of this work over on my deviantart. These are concepts for the game "Trudy's Mechanicals" which is an iPad strategy RPG. This game is still in the works. 

Nikko - 日っ光

 

^日光から帰った！ 一番上のは江戸村でタイムスリップみたいな感じだ。紅葉はすごかった。

徳川家康の東照宮も見に行った。

Just got back from Nikko! We went to Edo Wonderland(though in Japanese its simply called "Edo Village") which is sort of like a "theme park" of Old Tokyo. Tokyo was called Edo up until the Meiji era, where it then undertook a western look and became the new capitol of Japan.

We also went to Tokugawa Ieyasu's grave/shrine who was the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

The autumn leaves everywhere were so many colours. Red, orange, yellow, pretty much the whole spectrum of warm colours. It was so cold but well worth it.

Kayo made this for my birthday earlier this month. THANKS SO MUCH! She's gotten so much better at making clothing.
